Sales Return
Click on Create:
Buyer & Supplier Details
Buyer Details – Select the buyer against whom the sales return is being created.
Suppliers – Select the supplier associated with the sales return.
Primary Document Details
Invoice Number – Select the original invoice against which the return is being processed.
Invoice Date – The date of the original invoice.
Delivery Challan Number – Reference delivery challan against which goods were delivered.
Document Series – Select the relevant document series for numbering.
Return Date – The date on which the sales return is created.
Transporter Name – Enter the transporter’s name (if applicable).
Transportation Document Number – Enter transport reference number.
Vehicle Number – Enter the vehicle number used for return transport.
Transportation Document Date – Date of the transport document.
Items
Item – Select the item being returned.
Variation – Specific variation of the item (if applicable).
UOM (Unit of Measure) – The measurement unit.
Alternate UOM – Additional unit of measure (if available).
Quantity – Quantity of items being returned.
Price – Price per unit of item.
Discount / Discount Type – Any discount applicable on returned items.
Tax Classes – Applicable tax on the item.
Store – Warehouse/store to which the returned goods are sent.
Additional Details
Attachments – Upload any supporting documents.
Attach Signature – Add authorized signatures if required.
Comment – Add remarks related to the sales return.
Terms & Conditions – Standard or custom terms associated with the transaction.
Actions
Draft
Click on Save Draft to save the Sales Return as a draft for later editing.
If in Draft, the Sales Return can be updated.
Submit
Once you click Submit, the Sales Return is finalized.
If in Submit, the Sales Return cannot be updated.
View - Click on the View button to view Sales Return details.
Print - Click on the Print button to print the Sales Return.
Update
Allowed only when the Sales Return is in Draft status.
Not allowed once it is in Submit status.
Workflow Approval
If Approval Workflow is enabled in setup, only assigned members can approve the Sales Return.
Other members cannot approve it.
Cancellation
Sales Returns can be cancelled if they are no longer required.
If cancellation rules are enabled in setup, only authorized members can cancel the Sales Return.
